“The Ultimate Guide to Twitch Affiliation”

So, you want to stream and become Twitch Affiliate but think you lack the right gear? Well, think again! You have everything you need. It might not be the fanciest setup, but you’re on the right path. All you require is a streaming device — it could be a console, mobile phone, or PC. While it might limit your streaming options, it won’t hold you back. I’ve been there and used all three. Let’s dive into the secrets to achieving Twitch Affiliate status in just 30 days. stick around to the end for the most important part.

“Choosing Your Streaming Arsenal”

You’re gearing up for the Twitch Affiliate journey, and it all starts with selecting your streaming program. With a sea of options out there like Twitch Studio, OBS, Restream, and more, OBS might be the crowd favorite, but here’s a fun twist: Prism Live Studio. It’s like the lovechild of OBS and Restream, and guess what? It’s even available on mobile! Now you’re ready

“On the Right Path”

Now that you’ve got your streaming equipment and picked the perfect software, it’s time to embark on your journey to Twitch Affiliation. But first, here’s a quick checklist of what you’ll need to achieve:

  • Stream for a total of 8 hours
  • Go live on 7 different days
  • Maintain an average of 3 viewers

“Goals That Get You There”

Let’s break down the game plan for these achievements. Remember, it’s not just about streaming; it’s about setting the right goals. Here are some tips to get you there:

Tip №1: Start with the Easy Wins

Begin with the simpler achievements — the streaming ones. You’re already gaming; might as well make it count! Even if you’re not a pro, your journey can be a riot to watch. Try streaming 1–2 hours a day for a week, and you’ll knock off two achievements right away. Easy peasy!

Tip №2: The Elusive 50 Followers

Getting to 50 followers can be a little tricky due to Twitch’s rules against “Follow for Follow.” But there’s a clever workaround! Join active social media groups on Facebook, Discord, Reddit, and more. Post your stream schedule, and watch people flock to your Twitch channel. Just remember to support other small streamers in return. You’ll have your 50 followers in no time!

Tip №3: The 3 Average Viewers Conundrum

Reaching an average of 3 viewers can be the most challenging part, but it’s not impossible. The secret sauce here is to count yourself in! You’re guaranteed at least 1–2 viewers. How, you ask? Well, watch your stream on your PC and phone. That’s 2! But here’s the twist: Twitch’s system only allows 2 devices on the same network to count. So, mute the tab or app on your phone but not the stream. If you hover over the tab on your PC, you’ll find a volume icon; click it to mute the tab without affecting the viewer count. Console streamers, do the same with your phone. And now, you only need one more viewer! Call a friend, rope in a family member, or promote your stream to various groups. Boom! You’ve hit the magic 3 average viewers.

Bonus Tip: The Waiting Game

Now, this is crucial. After you’ve checked off all the achievements, it’s time to sit tight. Why, you ask? Because Twitch updates your analytics every 30 days. So, even if you’ve met the requirements, your average viewer count might fluctuate. This is why it’s essential to stop streaming and wait for that coveted Twitch email congratulating you on your Affiliate status.

Congratulations, streamer!
